Al-Marjan is a Lebanese and Persian cuisine restaurant located on the 4th floor of KLCC. A friend of ours from Iran brought us there a few nights ago for dinner and they serve pretty decent food. If you like gravy, stew, salad and yogurt dishes, this is the place for you.
We went for the buffet spree that had about 12 types of dishes. There were chicken in tomato gravy, roast chicken, fried fish fillets, beef and mutton stew, meatballs, different types of rice and not to mention that the salad spread is quite impressive.
Most of the dishes uses the same base like tomatoes and then different types of meat and poultry is added to create different types of dishes. It feels as though I'm only eating one dish instead of three different types. Not very creative in terms of flavours in my opinion. But I do like the cucumber herb salad with onions and vinegratte dressing and the potato salad. Not to mention they serve delicious lemonade. The diced cucumbers in yogurt is quite yummy too. The roast chicken was fork tender and the tomato soup tasted like summer.
There were also a variety of dips available like hummus, green pepper and brinjal, that goes very well with the Lebanese bread. Their dessert table was quite a spread with differenr types of middle eastern sweets, cakes and fruits. So it's not a bad place to dine if you are looking for something decent and healty to eat at Suria KLCC.
